Hi All! Revival of my entry.

I had a great weekend @ my hometown. Took 2 days off work, and there were my nieces and nephew at HOME. Loving it, always love them :) So, I took an extra effort to meet K Anna of ASB. It was a promise to come over and had a pack or two of her premix chocolate moist cake. However, I took three.

Got so excited, I reached home around 9pm and dash to get the cake mix prepared. The ingredients are simple, I was confident to have it all at home. There are two methods to prepare either by steam or bake. This time around I steamed the cake! In the pressure cooker it went.

So, here the picture of cube choc moist cake! With white chocolate on top.

And colourful chocolate rice!

So guys, try this out. Get the instant choc moist cake from me for only RM10.00. Email me norahmad2010@gmail.com.

For the flowers & leaves, I did a bit of coloring, so here they are:

Its been weeks that I promised my niece to do something together! Haha ... since she loves chocolate so much, and I am into chocolate frenzy too ... we had a project runaway last weekend. (she ranaway from her parents for 2 days, but of course with their permission la ... not exactly a runaway :P.

What's those cute little cake balls? Appreciate K Anna
for her tips. So, this was the result: a whole tray of cake balls coated with white chocolate & milk chocolate. Lovely! Could you see the letters? It spelled my niece's!

Into the box. Twenty five pieces of cake balls. Simply irresistible!

A bite into it, and you truly really cannot resist it. A teamwork of delicate touch and a good dose of patient.

Result of my project:

A love box with a dozen Choc Squares. Two mini boxes at side.
The groom is Iwan Shahril.

CONGRATULATIONS to Haiza & Iwan. May Allah bless you and grant both of happiness in the days and years to come :)
The bit bites, White & Blue. The love Choc Bite got imprint 'Baby Boy' on it. I have another one with 'Baby Girl' untested mold.

To put some taste into the bites, a few drops of peppermint flavor does the trick.

Few mores.

The one inside - double layer bit bites, blue and white. I brought this box to visit my nieces and nephews in Cheras. Aren't it special being unique? She chose the double layer. Gotcha!
Part of my project. Milk Chocolate Squares and Marble Squares, another try for new mold in the collection (can I call it collection, I suppose so, cos they're few others untested mold ... hahaha).
Do you like the marble ones or the solid choc? Vote :P

A dozen Choc Squares, 1/2 solid, 1/2 marble in a love box. Each squares approx 10g.
Last week, I tried new color in the stock. Quite challenging, they turned out to be not so okay. Coloring in blue really need some more practices. I don't know, maybe I should try Wilton food coloring. It was not so smooth compared to orange color.

Why blue? I was preparing for my best friend's wedding on Saturday. Her's was blue in theme. The roses supposed to be on the 'dulang hantaran'. But I changed my mind. What?

But, I am satisfied with the mini chocolate box with ribbon. I made two boxes and each with three pieces bite size choc. Aren't they cute? This time around, I had a little bit more patient and 'fridging' them a little bit longer and the result - just nice hmmm.

Box size: Approx 2.5" x 2.5" x 1" deep. Bite size: 1" dia

Another Sunday! Been thinking about today's lunch when I woke up in the morning... A crepe filled with mushroom is the meal for today. How I wanna add taste of chocolate into this recipe? A chocolate drizzled on top to go with ....

Chocolate Drizzled on top

So, I decided to go with chocolate batter
as well. The result:

A pair of Crepe

Wanna try? A simple recipe.

Crepe with Chicken Mushroom and Salad

Batter for Crepe
3 eggs
5 tbs unsalted butter (melted)
2 cups of milk
1 3/4 cup flour
A pinch of salt

Beat eggs and milk and pour in the melted butter. Mix well.
Sift flour and salt, if you use salted butter, no need to put in salt, otherwise the taste won't be good! Mix flour into the egg mixture. Mix until smooth.

For Chocolate Crepe, just add in melted chocolate approx 1/2 tbs to half of the batter.

Use non-stick skillet and make a thin layer, use medium heat. Done crepe.

Filling
400g Chicken Breast (skinned)
100g White button mushroom
3 tbs Butter
2 tbs cooking oil
Garlic
1/2 tbs flour
2 tbs milk

Heat oil and butter, stir in garlic. Then, stir in flour. Stir for about 5-10 second, pour in milk, mushroom and chicken. Done filling.

Eat the way you wanted!

White Choc

After my successful course last Sunday, and after rushing here and there to get my tools and ingredients (It was long holiday, remember! for Chinese New Year and all bakery shops close shop until Thursday) I managed to get the things ready for making my first attempt at home. Making chocolate.

Drizzling chocolate

I am quite nervous, but at the same confident that I can make this. I got the tools, I got the recipe. One thing though, I did change the mixture ratio just to test the outcome.

Result

The outcome, for its taste turn out to be just fine. So, it love shape decorated with alphabet. Need to practice my handwritten, though ... hahaha.

Special homemade chocolate with Belgian quality.
It was a long weekend, since few months back I wanna learn the art of making chocolate. Thank you to Ummie Anisa for sharing with me the technique in making delicious chocolate at the comfort of home. The outcome turn out pretty amazing with better-than-offshelf-chocolate taste.

Few friends got the sample, and all commented of its good taste and cute design. I cannot wait to experiment the techniques and art of making chocolate at home !
